We intentionally offer events and activities when the children, youth, and adults from our parish and from our neighborhood can come together to create something beautiful, restorative, and which tends to the earth.
Often our Cookie Church activities are centered around connecting the children and their parents to the garden, whether it is singing in the garden, planting “seed bombs” (a mixture of annual and perennial seeds which you throw into the garden beds), planting flowers, creating bouquets, making iced tea from the herbs, creating prayer flags to blow in the breeze in the garden, find the gift of baby ducks hiding in the garden, learning how to harvest vegetables, and planting trees.
We continue to find ways to draw our people into the garden, for we know that always then, we are drawing them into the holy presence of the divine.
