I could describe “Becoming Beloved Community” as an initiative of the Episcopal Church, a program, a learning opportunity, a commitment to building communities where there is truth telling, proclamation of the God’s dream, formation (learning and the transformation of our souls) and work around justice. All of this is true.
But what we are learning at Grace Place is that “Becoming Beloved Community” is a way of life, a reorientation of perspective, a learning at soul depth, a challenging path that calls from us something we never knew was within us, and a path that teaches us more about God than anything we have ever experienced before.
We invite you to watch this short video on Becoming the Beloved Community as part of our Diocesan webinar on Creation Care. This is probably the best way we can describe the transformation in our hearts and souls over these past few years and expresses the glimpse we have caught of God’s dream. The journey is a lifelong one and we have just taken the first few tentative steps, but we are on the path. We invite you to join with us.
