Little Free Food Pantry

The hunger statistics for the Shippensburg borough are soul-shattering. 25% of our borough residents live below the poverty level. An additional 50% qualify for the classification by the United Way of ALICE, meaning that even though these people are employed, they still cannot make ends meet.

We are collaborating with many organizations and good-hearted people to meet these needs. One of the most direct ways to do this is to have our Little Free Food Pantries filled, so food is available to our neighbors 24/7.

We have one food pantry box on Prince Street near the entrance into our Parish Hall. The Girl Scouts have also placed one on the corner of Martin Avenue and Prince Street.

Everyday the boxes are emptied by people who are in need of assistance. Please, if you are hungry, stop by. Please, if you have some food to share, fill up the box for our neighbor. We are a community who cares for our community.
