Healing Prayer Sunday

We believe that God’s grace enters into the very fabric of our life, by God’s intention and love for us, and by our opening the space within our heart and soul to receive the abundant offering of love by God for our healing of heart, mind, body, and soul. Somehow prayer matters. We can’t explain it, but we rejoice in the gift so freely offered to us by God. The first Sunday of each month, at each of our worship…

Prayer Shawl Ministry Group Gathering

If you knit or crochet, we invite you to join our Prayer Shawl Ministry. We meet the first Sunday of every month in the Parish Library, where we will pray, knit, and support each other as we create prayer shawls which will be blessed by the congregation and offered to someone in need. If you want to learn how to knit or crochet, show up and we’ll teach you.

Quilting Ministry

Each week people gather to create a quilt which is raffled off at the end of the year to raise money for the residents of The Episcopal Home. The members of this ministry also make other creative projects they sell at their annual Pumpkin Patch. No quilting experience needed, just an enjoyment of the company of others!

Community Meal

Twice each month, on the first and second Mondays of the month, we open our doors and share a meal with our neighbors and friends who come to us hungry for a good home-cooked meal and our friendship. Typically we serve 55-70 guests a full and well-balanced meal. This is part of our community’s care for those in need of physical food as well as the spiritual food of friendship. It is an amazing opportunity to extend the grace offered…

Healing Service at The Episcopal Home

We gather mid-week to receive healing prayers and to celebrate the Holy Eucharist together. This is a lovely time of reading scripture, asking for God’s healing grace to be within our own heart, mind, body, and soul or for those who are on our heart. There’s an intimacy of communion when the group gathered is small and knows each other well. All are welcome to attend. It’s a wonderful way to intentionally connect with God’s grace part way through the…

Community Meal

This is an opportunity for us to reach out into the community and be the hands and feet of Christ to serve a meal to our friends and guests from the community. We serve a home-cooked warm meal twice a month as part of the ecumenical church group program to feed the hungry in our neighborhoods. We feed them in heart and body through our loving care and delicious meals.

SPO Egg Money Collection

Every month we ask our members to support our commitment to SPO (Shippensburg Produce Outreach), our local food panty, with a donation of $75.00 per month or a total of $900 per year. This month allows our community to provide fresh eggs to our clients. This is an important reach out into our community that we have been participating in for many years. We are grateful to be a part of making it better for the people who are our…
