SPO Egg Money Collection

Every month we ask our members to support our commitment to SPO (Shippensburg Produce Outreach), our local food panty, with a donation of $75.00 per month or a total of $900 per year. This month allows our community to provide fresh eggs to our clients. This is an important reach out into our community that we have been participating in for many years. We are grateful to be a part of making it better for the people who are our…

Quilting Ministry

Each week people gather to create a quilt which is raffled off at the end of the year to raise money for the residents of The Episcopal Home. The members of this ministry also make other creative projects they sell at their annual Pumpkin Patch. No quilting experience needed, just an enjoyment of the company of others!

Morning Prayer

The backbone of worship in the Episcopal Church is the Daily Office, a collection of prayers offered throughout the day, beginning with Morning Prayer, a quiet, sacred service that can be done individually (for there is always someone else praying with you) or together in a group. Please join us for time of reading scripture and offering prayers.

Wednesday evening Spiritual formation group gathering

We gather together to enjoy spiritual companionship, to create a safe space to seek and explore, to learn together, to share our thoughts and questions, and to live out our baptismal vows of “continuing in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of the bread, and in the prayers”. We are being faithful members who want to know more about God and to know God more deeply. We meet every other Wednesday at Mother Barbara’s home. Topics vary from learning about…

Contemplative Eucharist

As the shadows grow longer, as the evenings begin earlier, and as the earth enfolds us in her enveloping darkness, let us hold onto the reminder that light will shine again in brightness and fullness. We invite you to join us for an evening of quiet and meditative worship in the beauty of our candlelit sanctuary, with incense, responsive chanting, scripture and Holy Eucharist, as we usher in the quiet light of new life. We will celebrate Candlemas (or the…

Approaching the Gospels

Each month we gather to reflect upon the scriptures together. As we heard in our reading from Acts on the 5th Sunday of Easter, “How can I understand without a guide?”. The Ethiopian Eunuch knew that he needed help to make sense of the scriptures. In this particular approach to scriptures which we use on the first Sunday of each month, we invite and encourage each other to offer thoughts and reflections on the scriptures as well as look directly…
