This past year we have been engaging our young people in the exploration of God’s creation and our faithful response of working toward sustainability of our earth. We have cleaned up streams, visited an organic farm, hiked and cleaned up a trail in Michaux forest and heard from a Appalachian Trail “through-hiker” — all to appreciate how we can take good care of God’s creation. This has been all based on the truth that the earth is God’s primary revelation (the first expression of God) and to be in a right relationship with God, we need to be in a right relationship with God’s creation.
We end this year by being outdoors together, deepening friendships, and challenging ourselves as we do the Ropes Course at Ski Roundtop. This will be an amazing time of joy, laughter, and hard work as we grow together in the midst of God’s beauty. For more information, please contact Mother Barbara. All young people are invited to come and bring a friend!
