As part of our ongoing spiritual work of understanding our call to become a part of God’s beloved community, where we respect the dignity of all people, where we see our connections as those created and loved by God, not our divisions or distinctions, we are engaging in a conversation around this book: Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson.
This book will provide an important piece of the historical puzzle of unlocking how we have arrived at where we are today. It is in the understanding of our past that we can begin to imagine how we can be attentive to who we can become together, in the “new age of justice and peace”.
