Wednesday evening Spiritual formation group gathering

We gather together to enjoy spiritual companionship, to create a safe space to seek and explore, to learn together, to share our thoughts and questions, and to live out our baptismal vows of “continuing in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of the bread, and in the prayers”. Approaching the Gospels

Each month we gather to reflect upon the scriptures together. As we heard in our reading from Acts on the 5th Sunday of Easter, “How can I understand without a guide?”. The Ethiopian Eunuch knew that he needed help to make sense of the scriptures. Youth Mini-Mission event: visit to cumberland valley animal shelter

Our young people will gather together with an event which will continue their focus this year on “All Creatures Great and Small … the Lord God Loves Them All.” We will go to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter and read books to the dogs, which calm them down, help to socialize them, all of which helps the animals to be more ready and appealing to be adopted to their forever homes. Youth Mini Mission Event: visit to the smithsonian zoo

As part of our year-long effort for our young people to live into embracing the glory of God’s creation, (All Creatures Great and Small), our youth group will travel to the Smithsonian Zoo in Washington DC for a wonderful time together.
