Parish Community Life
Every month we ask our members to support our commitment to SPO (Shippensburg Produce Outreach), our local food panty, with a donation of $75.00 per month or a total of $900 per year. This month allows our community to provide fresh eggs to our clients. This is an important reach out into our community that we have been participating in for many years. We are grateful to be a part of making it better for the people who are our…
Come and learn the reasons behind why we do what we do when during our Holy Eucharist.
We love it when the community gathers to just be together: to catch up on the past week, to share our joys and concerns, to grow together in Christ and to feel what it means to be a part of the living and moving Body of Christ. Each week parishioners provide delicious and healthy foods to share. Please always feel welcome to come and be a part of our community.
Each week people gather to create a quilt which is raffled off at the end of the year to raise money for the residents of The Episcopal Home. The members of this ministry also make other creative projects they sell at their annual Pumpkin Patch. No quilting experience needed, just an enjoyment of the company of others!
This is a time to learn more about you and your relationship with God among friends. All are welcome to join us anytime!
Twice each month, on the first and second Mondays of the month, we open our doors and share a meal with our neighbors and friends who come to us hungry for a good home-cooked meal and our friendship. Typically we serve 55-70 guests a full and well-balanced meal. This is part of our community’s care for those in need of physical food as well as the spiritual food of friendship. It is an amazing opportunity to extend the grace offered…
All are invited to come as we explore the spiritual practice of “Bless” which is one of the Ways of Love offered by our Episcopal Church. We will gather and prepare food for Thanksgiving baskets for our hungry neighbors. As we help others, we grow in our love of Christ and of our world. So come and be a part of this family event. You can come even if you don’t have a youth member in our parish and just…
Come help us prepare our beautiful grounds for winter. Everyone is welcome and all help will be appreciated!
We will bring the gift of Christmas to our nearest neighbors, the residents of the Episcopal Home. We will sing Christmas carols with them and find joy and bring joy to each other.
This is our best event of the year. We cook, bake, decorate and prepare for our neighbors to come and join us for a full Christmas Day dinner. All are welcome — both to come and enjoy a festive meal and to help prepare and serve the full course Christmas day meal. This is an opportunity to be with each other and share the joy of the season.
