Morning Prayer

The backbone of worship in the Episcopal Church is the Daily Office, a collection of prayers offered throughout the day, beginning with Morning Prayer, a quiet, sacred service that can be done individually (for there is always someone else praying with you) or together in a group. Please join us for time of reading scripture and offering prayers.

Healing Service at The Episcopal Home

We gather mid-week to receive healing prayers and to celebrate the Holy Eucharist together. This is a lovely time of reading scripture, asking for God’s healing grace to be within our own heart, mind, body, and soul or for those who are on our heart. There’s an intimacy of communion when the group gathered is small and knows each other well. All are welcome to attend. It’s a wonderful way to intentionally connect with God’s grace part way through the…

Spirituality of Eucharist

The Episcopal Church understands the centrality of the Holy Eucharist in our Christian lives. We celebrate this sacrament of praise and thanksgiving each week, coming forward each time expecting to be transformed by the love and grace of Christ. In addition to understanding the history and tradition of the various parts of the Eucharistic service, it is helpful to explore the spirituality of entering fully into the service. This can involve exploring how our heart and soul is touched by…

Wednesday evening Spiritual formation group gathering

We gather together to enjoy spiritual companionship, to create a safe space to seek and explore, to learn together, to share our thoughts and questions, and to live out our baptismal vows of “continuing in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of the bread, and in the prayers”. We are being faithful members who want to know more about God and to know God more deeply. We meet every other Wednesday at Mother Barbara’s home. Topics vary from learning about…

Godly Play for our Youngest Ones

We offer a time of scriptural and spiritual exploration for our youngest ones each Sunday as they engage with our Godly Play class. This is a time when our children are encouraged to wonder about where they are in the larger narrative of God’s story and how they may connect to the grace of God held within each message. Children ages 2 and up are invited at attend.

This is an opportunity for those who lead worship to come together and plan, reflect, and imagine. This is a time for people to share their own experiences of worship and to work always to create meaningful and moving worship experiences for all parishioners, ranging from the quiet spoken service at 8 a.m. to the festive youth-filled service at 10 a.m., the Holy Week services which walk us through the last week of Jesus’ life, to the quarterly Contemplative Eucharists…
