Annual Meeting

Annual Meeting

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the annual meeting yesterday! I want to provide a run-down of some main ideas for you. As always, please get in touch with me, or anyone else on the Vestry, if you have questions or comments.
First, we are welcoming a new Senior Warden this year – Christina Luo. Please join me in extending a big “thank you” to both her and our outgoing warden, John Richardson, for their service to our parish. (See photo below.) Additional thanks to the other 2019 officers, who include: Jane Offner as Junior Warden, Ken Dotson as Treasurer, and Sassy Turchi as Clerk.
The Rectors Award was given to Shannon and Neiley for, as Mother Barbara stated, “for their kindness and witness to what it means to “be church”, not just come to church.” Congratulations to both of you!
The Vestry Award was given to Elisabeth Turchi, for her true leadership and in selflessly offering her gifts to our community. Thank you, Lisa!
Mother Barbara and the Vestry are also offering the exciting news that St. Andrew’s will meet our budget needs this year! This is thanks to both temporarily cutting some corners *and* an increased pledge total of about $28,000 from our parish community. 72% of the pledges this year were increased amounts! What an incredible thing this is! Of course, the cuts are only short-term and we still have more to do to make the budget completely level, but we are well on our way. We are still accepting pledges, so the $28K will probably increase to nearly $30K.
Mary Beth Williams shared the results of the St. Andrew’s survey with us yesterday. If you have questions or need clarifications, please do not hesitate to ask.
There are many exciting things happening at St. Andrew’s this year and we on the Vestry are thrilled to be able to share in it with you. Thank you for all you are and do as members of our community.
